Tuition and Fees, 2018 - 2019

Our students experience a joyful, child-centered education that honors the human spirit, offers academics integrated with art and movement, instills and nurtures a sense of wonder and creativity, and develops resourcefulness, compassion and confidence. We educate the whole child, and offer programs for children 0-14 years old.

Parent-Infant: Tuition set based on session length, $20 per class including all fees.

Parent-Child: Tuition set based on session length, $28 per class including all fees.

2-Day Preschool (2-3 year olds): $3,300 plus a $250 enrollment fee.

3-Day Preschool (2-3 year olds): $4,400, plus a $250 enrollment fee.

3-Day Mixed-Age Kindergarten (3-6 year olds): $6,500, plus a $350 enrollment fee.

4-Day Mixed-Age Kindergarten: $8,500, plus a $350 enrollment fee.

5-Day Mixed-Age Kindergarten: $10,400 plus a $350 enrollment fee.

Grades 1-5: $13,600, plus a $550 enrollment fee.

Grades 6-8: $14,950, plus a $550 enrollment fee and a $750 activities fee.

Enrollment & Materials Fee: The non-refundable enrollment fee must be paid in full with the return of a tuition contract, two weeks after receipt. This fee covers the costs of classroom materials, field trips and chaperones, festival costs, special projects, and other fixed expenses. We cannot hold spaces for children until this fee and a signed tuition contract have been received. Post spring-break admissions pay half of the stated fee.

Activity Fee for Middle School: The middle school activity fee covers the cost of lessons taught by outside community professionals in which the entire class participates. The activity fee must be paid in full by August 1st. These activities constitute an integral part of the curriculum and participation is not optional.

Payment Schedule and Discounts: Tuition must be paid monthly by automatic bank withdrawal on a 12-month basis beginning July 1. Families that pay tuition in full by June 30th receive a 1% discount. Madrona School partners with Smart Tuition to process tuition payments; each family will set up an account upon enrollment, and it will be updated each year.

Financial Aid: Financial aid is available to families based on need as determined by the Student Services for Financial Aid (SSS). To apply for financial aid, currently enrolled families must submit financial data and last year's tax returns to SSS by February 15th. Go to to apply online. There is no financial aid available for parent-infant or parent-child classes, and a limited amount in preschool and kindergarten. See our financial aid information page for more on our policies.

Student Withdrawal: Families withdrawing a student on or before October 31st are responsible for 30% of the contracted annual tuition. Withdrawals after October 31st are subject to 100% of the contracted annual tuition amount.
