WellSpent is something like an
Amazon.com that donates a percentage of
purchases. (Note: you must initially select
Madrona School!)
Their
online catalog has tens of thousands of
items: books,
kitchen/housewares, electronics, computer,
outdoor, tools/hardware, and home/garden.
No Waldorf
school in the country covers its operating costs
through tuition alone! The Madrona School
Fundraising & Gifts committee works hard to identify
initiatives and organizations that benefit the
school financially. We avoid such activities
that explicitly contradict Waldorf pedagogy.
Projects this year include our silent auction,
the Hearts & Crafts Fair, an audio CD, and a 2004 calendar.
If you have creative ideas, please feel free to

Waldorf Market
donates 5% of all sales to Madrona School.
This "market" links conscious consumers to
sellers of toys, puppets, paintings, dolls,
candles, books, jewelry, art/craft supplies,
woodwork, furniture, and much more.
Madrona School trusts its parents and friends to
make the best choices for their families,
consistent with their values. Certain
fundraising efforts will resonate with you while
others may not. We appreciate your patronage
of any and all initiatives which are right for
you. Please do not change your consumer habits
against your priorities just for the sake of the
school. |
