Preschool
If a child has been able to play, to give up his whole, loving being to the world around him, he will be able in the serious tasks of later life to devote himself with power and confidence to the service of the world.” — Rudolf Steiner
For children Ages 3 - 4
Mon, Tues & Wed 9:00 - 11:30 or 12:30 - 3:00
The preschool, with its home-like atmosphere and weekly rhythms, provides a gentle transition from family to school for young children. A classroom environment rich with natural materials appeals to their awakening senses and the emphasis on creative play nurtures their lively imaginations.
The child’s joy in movement is met through circle games, nature walks and gardening. Household activities, including baking and cleaning, strengthen their sense of responsibility to the group. Songs, poems, fairy tales and nature stories tune their ears to the beauty of language while enlivening their imaginative relationship with nature and the seasons.
Children who are 3 or 4 years old may enroll in preschool. However… If your 2-year old will turn 3 before December 31, you may apply and be admitted on a space-available basis. If your child turns 4 before the preceding May 31st, please apply to our Kindergarten.
See Enrollment for our admission process.
